Ivan Fisk Scholarship
The Ivan Fisk Scholarship is an annual scholarship fund designed to provide financial assistance to help advance the careers of anyone working in the manufacturing or mechanical engineering fields.
The Scholarships are named in recognition of the late Ivan Fisk, for his efforts to help New Zealanders advance their engineering careers from apprenticeship level to higher national qualification level.
The 2007 fund was $12,000 and was awarded to anyone who completed a qualification in manufacturing/mechanical engineering at level 4 and would like to study further at NZQA Level 5 diploma or degree level or above.
The subjects the judging committee considered were not limited to trade skills and could include management, supervisory skills, communication, or any other topics that will help to advance a career.
