Ivan Fisk Entry Criteria
ENTRY CRITERIA
Qualifications
The successful applicants will have completed a National Certificate Level 4 Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering qualification such as:
- Light or Heavy Fabrication Engineering
- Maintenance and Diagnostics
- Machining and Toolmaking
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- Heating and Ventilation
- Plastics Engineering
- Plastics Processing Technology
OR
- Are studying for a Diploma or Degree in 2008 at Level 5 and above in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
Applications are to include
Evidence of:
- Qualifications achieved to date
- Personal interests, sport, community activities and any industry memberships
- The programme to be studied
- A summary of your career aspirations
- A brief explanation of any special needs, and a personal financial budget for the year of study that the application is being made for. Also include a brief explanation of your personal circumstances.
Information provided by applicants will be used only for the purpose of making the selection for the scholarships. Unsuccessful applicants will have their applications returned.
Awardees will be required to
Commence and successfully complete the scholarship in the agreed time
- Attend an interview if required
- Report on their progress during the academic year
- Be a worthy recipient and be prepared to be available to promote Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering as a career
Notification and Presentation of Awards
Applicants will receive notification of the success of their application by Friday 19th December 2008.
Payment of the scholarships to assist with the study costs will be made in agreed instalments.
The decisions of the Ivan Fisk Memorial Scholarship Committee are final.
Applications must be in the possession of the committee by Friday 14th November 2008. Applications have now closed.
