Board Announcement: CEO Appointment

Rosalie WebsterThe Skills4Work Board is pleased to announce that Rosalie Webster has been appointed as CEO of Skills4Work. Rosalie was General Manager, Strategic Opportunities leading up to this appointment and was a member of the Skills4Work Senior Management Team. In this role, she has established the process to be used for long term strategic planning for Skills4Work, working with the Senior Management Team and key managers. Since her appointment to Skills4Work in 2007, her work has included the establishment of the Skills4Work productivity initiative, the new Competitive Edge programme.

Prior to her job at Skills4Work, Rosalie worked in senior leadership roles in the Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union (EPMU). She led the process of strategic planning for the EPMU and established the internal planning processes for the organisation. As part of her role, she carried out significant industrial negotiations and joint project work with many key NZ companies. Her role involved extensive work on workplace skill based systems, productivity, industry skills and qualifications, best practice in strategic engagement and partnership. She was a member on the Competenz Board, the Industry Training Federation Board, the Advisory Board for the Partnership Resource Advisory Centre and the Board for the consortium of ITOs that support the Competitive Manufacturing Initiative. Over the 20 year period involved in this line of work, Rosalie also spent 5 years working as a consultant and set up and ran her own company.

The Board is confident that with this appointment, Skills4Work now has both the leadership and the staff to build on its existing strengths and develop in the new directions that will ensure future sustainability and growth.
