A Typical Day

A Typical Day as a Training Specialist

As a Training Specialist, no two days are the same. You will work with a variety of people within manufacturing and mechanical engineering sectors including trainees and apprentices through to workplace assessors and Managers.

As a Training Specialist you will champion both on-job and off-job training for our customers, while liaising with a variety of parties including tertiary providers and internal operations staff, to ensure a seamless delivery of quality industry training.

In any one day you may be coaching a workplace assessor to assist trainees to complete relevant unit standards. Alternatively, you may be signing up, mentoring or assessing an apprentice in the workplace.

An office bound role this definitely is not, as a Training Specialist you will visit customers in the workplace on a daily basis, zipping around in one of our stylish company vehicles.

Please see our Current Apprentice Vacancies page for a list of great career opportunities.

“I look after in excess of 50 engineering apprentices and believe engineering is one of the most important areas we have to train and develop our people. Virtually all industries have had to have some involvement at some stage with engineering.” - Raoul
